The Festival

October 19th – 21st 2023

The Children’s International Film Festival of Wales celebrates the best and brightest in International film programmes for children, students, and professional filmmakers from across the world. This includes short films, feature films, animations, and films that inspires younger generations.

Our festival will showcase films made by youth and professionals in animation, live-action, and documentary, while local filmmakers will have a special category to aid in supporting local talent. The festival will not only feature amazing films, but a wonderful Red Carpet awards night to celebrate the films that have been selected and nominated for the 2023 Festival.

The festival promotes visual storytelling for children of all ages. We welcome individuals, schools, media academies, colleges, and professional film makers to submit their films.

We welcome stories from all genres including: Action, Comedy, Drama, Fantasy, Comedy Horror, Mystery, Thriller, Crime, and the absolute best in age-appropriate films. We also look for creative uniqueness, and the best in fiction and non-fiction. All films will be grouped according to age range (Awards & Prizes).
